30-second Speech: A Podcast in Kidblog

Rules
1.     You may interpret your topic in any way you choose.  (Example:  "square watermelon seeds" could be talked about as being still inside the watermelon, their special function in farming, used to grow crops on the moon, as cheap slingshot ammunition...)

2.     The topic can be presented using any tone such as serious, humorous, "scientific," or any way you desire.

3.     When preparing for 30 seconds, think 80-90 words, 8-9 sentences.

4.     You will use the Audio Recording feature in OneNote to record your speech.

5.  Use the "Toolbox" for voice as your guide for your speech.  Stay within 30-seconds as you will lose a point for each second over the limit.  Say a lot in an effective way without rushing your pace.

Model Speech

Coin Stretchers

There was once a penny named Bob who lived under a cash register in a restaurant.  Bob loved to roll around the counters at night.  After the restaurant closed one night, he rolled into a bit of butter left on the counter.  He slipped off the edge, fell into a box of toothpicks, and was pierced through the center.  His nickel and dime buddies came to his rescue and fashioned a stretcher from two toothpicks and some napkin.  They rushed him to Money Town Bank where he was saved.
